Per KRS 211.350 “No person, firm, oguidelinesforsewageandplumbing2024ny on-site sewage disposal system subject to regulation by the cabinet without having first obtained an on-site sewage disposal permit from the local health department.”

The first step to obtaining an on-site sewage disposal (also called “septic system”) permit is the site evaluation.  A certified inspector will perform the site evaluation to determine if site and soil conditions are suitable for onsite wastewater systems.
